How to Set Up KMail to Send and Receive E-mail
You will need your E-mail server settings to set up your E-mail program.
If the E-mail you are using is provided with a Thomas Cole Hosted Domain your incoming mail server (POP3) will be mail.yourdomain.com and your account name will be your full E-mail address.
Your outgoing mail server (SMTP) is dependant on the ISP you are using.
Click Here for a list of common SMTP servers.
Load KMail (by typing "KMail &" from the shell or loading KDE and selecting it from the "Internet" group on the KDE start menu). You'll see a screen similar to the picture below. Click on Settings, then click on Configuration
Click the Network icon.
Click the Add button.
Select POP3 and then click OK
In the Login field, type your full E-mail address (e.g., support@thomascole.net).
In the Password field, type your E-mail password.
In the Host field, type the second part of your E-mail address (e.g. yourdomain.com).
In the Port field, type 110 if it is not already set.
Click on OK, then click on OK again when you return to the Configure screen and you are done.
