Yahoo Apps To Feature On Samsung Mobiles
Mobile phone and electronics manufacturer has recently announced plans to pre-load its new mobile devices with services from internet search provider Yahoo! This will include some of the companies most popular applications such as Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! News.
These applications will come pre-loaded on Samsung mobiles including those running the Samsung Bada and Android operating systems.
This extensive suite of applications will combine to provide an enhanced mobile experience which rivals ones offered by Google. Samsung plans to begin adding these applications to new phones from May onwards.
The two companies signed a deal in 2007, and this new arrangement signals a closer relationship between them, with Samsung supplying the hardware while Yahoo! chips in with services.
The Android OS is already well-served by Google applications, but Samsung will be keen to encourage competition and Yahoo! will be pleased to provide alternatives - and a product they can both pitch to other manufacturers that like Android, but fear Google.
You can expect to see the applications on a Samsung Mobile soon!
